Reminder Buddy1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how the Reminder Buddy mobile application (the “App”) handles information. Reminder Buddy lets you create reminders by speaking, typing, or pasting text, and alerts you at the time you choose. We built it to keep your information private: your reminders and settings live only on your device.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to us or to any third party. There are no user accounts and no sign-up. The reminders you create, their dates and times, your chosen language, and an optional name you may enter to personalise alerts are all saved locally on your device only.
3. Microphone & Voice Input
If you choose to create a reminder by voice, the App asks for microphone permission and uses your device's built-in speech-recognition service to convert your speech to text. The App uses the resulting text only to fill in your reminder. Audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us. Speech recognition is performed by your device's operating system (for example, the Google speech service on Android), which is governed by that provider's own privacy policy. You can use the App entirely by typing or pasting if you prefer not to grant microphone access.
4. Notifications & Alarms
The App schedules local notifications, ringtones, or spoken alerts on your device so reminders go off at the right time, including exact alarms for time-sensitive reminders. These are handled entirely on the device and involve no servers and no transfer of your data.
5. Sharing Reminders
If you choose to share a reminder, the App creates a file that you send using your device's own share options (for example, to a messaging app). Sharing happens only when you initiate it, and the App does not upload your reminders anywhere on its own.
6. Advertising & Third-Party Services
Reminder Buddy contains no advertisements, no analytics tools, and no third-party tracking SDKs. We do not sell or share your information.
7. Permissions
The App may request the following permissions:
- Microphone — only for voice input, and only when you use it (optional);
- Notifications & exact alarm scheduling — to deliver reminders on time;
- The device's text-to-speech service — for spoken alerts.
It does not request access to your camera, location, contacts, or photos.
8. Children's Privacy
Reminder Buddy is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children. Because it collects no personal information, no data from any user — including children — is processed, shared, or sold.
